GOOD POOL CARE HABITS

• Daily: Run pool pump 8 hours per day for small pools and 16 hours per day for large or busy pools.(Half the time in winter)
• Weekly: Backwash filter for 5 minutes and rinse for 30 seconds. Check and control pH at 6.8 – 7.2 with acid.
• Monthly: Maintain”Total Alkalinity” at 80 ppm to 120 ppm with Alkalinity increaser.
• Seasonally: Re-vitalise the filter with a filter sand cleaner.

HOW MUCH POOL MAGIC TO USE

One 400g pack will treat 40 000 to 60 000 litres of pool water for 4 weeks.

Note: If the pool contains lots of algae it gets used up quickly so double the dosage.

DIRECTIONS

1. Backwash filter for 5 minutes and rinse for 30 seconds.
2. Check and adjust pH between 6.8 – 7.2
3. Pour contents into the skimmer with the pump running on the normal “filter” cycle so that the Pool Magic gets sucked into the filter.
4. In the summer, once a week pour a cup of chlorine into the skimmer to maintain a residual chlorine level between 0.5 and 1ppm or use chlorine floater to control bacteria.

• If swallowed drink large amounts of milk or water for 15 minutes.
• Skin contact - wash with water.

PRECAUTIONS

Overdosing with this product and or neglecting to keep the pH below 7.2 may lead to stubborn blue/black stains. If stains occur, pour pool acid over the stained area to immediately remove or call your local POOL MAGIC agent for more advice. Pouring granular chlorine directly into de pool may cause black stains, if stains occur simply treat by pouring pool acid over de stains.

Q: How do I change over to p POOL MAGIC?
A: POOL MAGIC is compatible with most known pool chemicals. To change simply follow steps 1-3.

Q: Can I use POOL MAGIC if I have a salt chlorinator in the pool?
A: With a salt chlorinators you should not need other chemicals. To use POOL MAGIC lower the settings on the chlorinator and follow directly 1-3.

Q: What do I do if I experience a drop in water pressure once adding POOL MAGIC?
A: This should not happen provide the filter sand is clean. However, allow the pump to labour for 5 minutes and then do a quick 3 seconds backwash and set Multi Port Valve Back on to filter and switch on again. This should relieve a pressure in the sand filter. (After 5 days one should clean the sand filter thoroughly by doing and open backwash).

Q: Is POOL MAGIC save?

Q: Do I still need to use chlorine with POOL MAGIC?
A: POOL MAGIC is added only once a month while bacteria enter the pool daily. Some pools are used heavily while others are hardly used. POOL MAGIC is not designed to cope with bacteria and suntan oils of heavily used pools. So use chlorine as instructed in the direction for private pools and for public pools use enough chlorine daily to maintain a level of 1 ppm.

Q: What is the possible way to maintain my pool and why?
A: Follow the “Good Pool Care Habits”. This is the recommended regular maintenance plan. With minimal use of chlorine and monthly use of POOL MAGIC we have almost chlorine free water that is soft and healthy to swim in.

Q: Can POOL MAGIC stain my pool?
A: Stains in pools have existed ever since pools were invented. POOL MAGIC, calcium, dust, borehole water, chlorine and other products or conditions can all lead to stains in pools. A general cure for most stains is to lower the pH to 6.8 for a few weeks until the stains disappear OR to pour acid over the stained areas. Dry acid can also be pour onto the stained area to dissolve most stains (including rust stains).
